Out of over 140 applicants, I was one of the 25 chosen to take part in Creative Comeback 2021.
It was an initiative supported by Diageo and D&AD, aimed at helping women who'd taken a break from their creative careers for a variety of reasons (mine was to care for my parents) and getting us back into work.
To be selected for this programme, we had to respond to a brief (spending no more than a day on it) to create noise and engagement around World Vegan Day.
My main idea was to harness the press coverage that the UN climate change conference COP26 would be getting - luckily the first day coincided with World Vegan Day on 1st November 2021!
The idea was that you don't need to be a world leader to fight climate change, you can be vegan.
It's in dire need of a designer as you can see below, but I mocked up a billboard where I started to replace some faces of COP25 delegates with famous vegans just to illustrate the idea. You can tell from some of the faces featured that this was from 2021!
My pitch also included social ideas and an alternative route that wasn't connected to COP26.
As part of the programme, we worked on a live brief and I was part of the team that pitched the winning idea to Diageo for Captain Morgan Tiki (I'm checking whether our pitch deck is still under embargo).
